Most LED Living and Solar Living products carry a 5-year warranty as the baseline, with 7- and 10-year extensions available on many fixtures for projects that need them. We aim to be easy to work with at every step — when something does need attention, we'd rather it feel like a conversation than a forms-and-fine-print obstacle course.

What's Covered

Who is covered under the warranty?

LED Living warrants to the original end user that products and parts will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the applicable warranty period. This warranty applies to LED Living and Solar Living branded products purchased through authorized distribution channels.

When does the warranty period start?

The warranty period begins on the date of invoice to the end user. If the end user cannot provide proof of invoice, the warranty period begins on the ship date from LED Living.

How long is my warranty?

Most LED Living products are backed by a 5-year warranty. Warranty length can vary by product family — Solar Living portable light towers, solar sign and billboard products, and certain battery-specific terms differ from the standard. Always check the product's spec sheet on its product page to confirm the exact warranty term that applies to your fixture.

What happens if a covered product fails?

Our commitment is to repair or replace any defective product during the warranty period. We work to turn around repairs and replacements as quickly as possible after receiving the returned item — typically within about 30 days — and our team keeps you posted on status and timing once your RMA is in motion.

How is the warranty handled on a replacement?

Products and parts repaired or replaced under warranty are covered for the balance of the original warranty period or ninety (90) days, whichever is longer.

Are extended warranties available?

Yes — many LED Living and Solar Living fixtures support 7- and 10-year warranty extensions for projects that benefit from longer coverage. Because available terms vary by product family, lumen package, and application, we prefer to talk through the options before a project is fully specified. Reach out to our sales team or your LED Living representative early in the process and we'll help you choose what fits.

Your local rights: This warranty gives end users specific legal rights, and particular end users may have additional rights that vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
Solar-Specific Coverage

Solar Living Warranty Terms

Solar Living systems combine fixtures, batteries, charge controllers, and solar panels — components with different service lives. Most Solar Living products are covered by the same 5-year warranty as LED Living, but some product families have specific terms. The breakdown below reflects the warranties published on current Solar Living spec sheets.

5-Year Warranty

Standard coverage across most Solar Living fixtures. LiFePO4 battery and fixture covered together for the full term.

3-Year Warranty

Bollard, tube, and sign & billboard fixtures — integrated panel-and-battery designs or compact battery formats.

2-Year Fixture (Battery May Vary)

Portable solar light towers carry shorter terms due to mobile-deployment conditions. Gel-battery models carry a 1-year battery term.

Site conditions matter. Solar performance depends on proper site assessment, panel tilt angle, orientation, and clearance from shading obstructions. Warranty does not cover performance shortfalls caused by site conditions outside the published specification. How to File a Warranty Claim

Every claim starts with an RMA request — it gives our team what's needed to evaluate and resolve quickly. Email RMA@LEDLivingTechnology.com to get started, and we'll walk you through the rest. Returns without an RMA number can't be processed.

    Request an RMA

    Email RMA@LEDLivingTechnology.com with your order number, the affected product model and quantity, a description of the failure, and any logistical constraints (site access, lift requirements, installer scheduling, project timing). The end user, LED Living representative, or distributor may initiate the request.

    Complete the RMA paperwork

    Once your RMA is issued, complete the included form and display the RMA number prominently on the outside of the shipping container.

    Ship the product

    Ship the product with freight prepaid in a padded carton, including a written description of the defect. Damage in transit is the end user's responsibility and may void the claim.

    Evaluation and resolution

    Once received, the product is evaluated per warranty guidelines. If covered, a replacement is sent at LED Living's expense to the address on your RMA form. If damages aren't covered, we'll reach out to discuss next steps.

We work with your install team. Real-world lighting issues rarely fit cookie-cutter solutions, and we don't pretend they do. Share your situation when you open an RMA, and we'll work through it directly with you, your installer, or your distributor to land on a resolution that makes sense.

Other Return Options

In addition to the standard warranty replacement process above, LED Living supports two additional return paths. Both follow the same RMA process and ship to the same Hatboro manufacturing facility.

Advance Replacement (Billed)

Use this path when a replacement product is needed before the original has been evaluated, or when the product is outside its warranty period.

  • Customer, LED Living representative, or distributor requests an RMA number and form.
  • A new purchase order must be issued by the customer or distributor and received by LED Living. It is preferred the new PO come from the distributor who purchased the original product.
  • Distributor-issued POs reflect the most current distributor net pricing. Customer-issued POs reflect the most current MSRP — consult LED Living if pricing is unavailable.
  • New customers without established credit complete a one-time credit card authorization form.
  • The replacement product is billed or charged to the party listed on the new PO upon shipping.
  • The original product must be returned within 30 days, in good condition, with the RMA form included.
30-Day Refund Return (Non-Defective)

For non-defective product returns initiated within 30 days of the original purchase. This path is typically distributor-initiated.

  • Customer, LED Living representative, or distributor requests an RMA number and form.
  • The distributor ships the product directly to the manufacturing facility with the completed RMA form.
  • The product is evaluated for completeness and condition upon receipt.
  • A restocking fee of up to 20% may be applied based on the evaluation.
  • The distributor is refunded up to the full value of the product, minus any restocking fees.
  • The distributor is responsible for refunding any third parties involved in the original transaction.
All return paths require an RMA. Regardless of which option applies, contact RMA@LEDLivingTechnology.com first to obtain your RMA number and form. Returns received without an RMA number and completed paperwork will be rejected and returned to sender, freight collect.

What's Not Covered

The limited warranty is null and void under the following circumstances. Damage and failures meeting any of the criteria below are not eligible for warranty repair or replacement.

  • Tampering with the serial label. Warranty is voided if the LED Living serial label has been tampered with, including (but not limited to) removing, painting over, tearing off, or replacing with another label.
  • Unauthorized modification or repair of any covered product or part by the end user or any non-authorized LED service provider.
  • Improper use or installation, including physical damage from tools used, use of mounting hardware not originally provided with the product, failure to perform regular maintenance or cleaning, or damage by accident or neglect.
  • Environmental damage, including failure to protect the product from electrostatic discharge, adverse or rapid temperature changes that cause condensation or exceed rated operating temperatures, humidity-related condensation, water exposure on non-IP-rated products, water intrusion through capillary effect, or physical abuse.
  • Incorrect electrical input. Failure to use only the input currents and voltages specified by LED Living.
  • Returns without authorization. Failure to follow the RMA process described above.
